Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred or required
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Organize merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities
• Maintain store fixtures and displays; ensure profitability and loss prevention
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing returns, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits/receipts
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards
• Protect store assets including cash; enforce policies and safety guidelines
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
