Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development at our Bucks County location. You will assist with daily tasks, organize merchandise, train associates, and ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming store environment for customers and staff.

The role requires strong communication, customer service excellence, and the ability to lift up to 55 lbs and work in a high-energy retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize, transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communication related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff follow policies.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a safe, positive, respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Ensure store cleanliness, including bathrooms, floors, trash, and general presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
