Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our team to help with store operations, customer service, and team development.

You will assist with day-to-day store activities, help customers, organize merchandise, and support store leadership while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. This role offers growth opportunities within a busy retail setting in Pearland, TX.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and perform frequent movements.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store activities and operations.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Assist with payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits and receipts; support loss prevention.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and organized stockroom.
• Coach and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
