Lids Sports Group seeks an Assistant Store Manager in Tempe to lead store operations and a team of associates, driving sales and delivering exceptional customer service. The role emphasizes scheduling, training, discipline, and maintaining store standards across KPI targets.

You will oversee daily store performance, participate in staffing decisions, support visual merchandising, and ensure a friendly, inclusive shopping experience for fans and customers. HR contacts and benefits are provided.

• Ability to work without direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• Act as Manager on duty for scheduling issues and customer complaints when Store Manager is absent.
• Manage store associates through training programs, goal setting, and follow-ups.
• Administer disciplinary steps including verbal and written warnings in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Foster a fun, productive, and inclusive team environment.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, inventory safeguards, and store procedures.
• Schedule and staff the store, including calling in associates during peak times.
• Assist in recruiting and training store personnel.
• Support cash handling, opening/closing tills, and bank deposits.
• Prepare store for inventory audits and maintain store readiness.
