Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear is seeking an Assistant Manager in Erwin, NC to support the Store Manager in daily operations and customer service excellence. You will be knowledgeable across departments, uphold policies, and assist with merchandising and staff guidance.

Responsibilities include acting in the Store Manager's absence, coordinating scheduling and training, and ensuring profitability through effective inventory control and service quality.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail environment and footwear/apparel preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in controlling assets and store operations.
• Collaborate with Store Manager to set action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Serve as acting Store Manager in absence of the Store Manager.
• Assist in personnel recruiting, training, and evaluation.
• Provide guidance to staff and customers across departments when needed.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to support profitability.
• Direct staff to ensure department responsibilities and standards are met.
• Maintain excellent customer service and assist customers during peak periods.
• Promote and sell services and merchandise offered by the store.
• Uphold company policies, procedures, and manuals.
