Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear in Kernersville, NC is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager with daily store duties, merchandising, restocking and scheduling while delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced retail setting.

You will lead in the Store Manager's absence, supervise staff, assist with recruiting and training, monitor inventory and sales, and ensure asset protection and policy adherence.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a retail environment, preferably footwear/apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lead a team and meet store goals.
• Self-starter with initiative and attention to detail.
• Team-oriented and customer-service focused.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in controlling store assets and operations.
• Help establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, and scheduling.
• Act as store lead in Store Manager's absence.
• Support personnel recruiting, training, and evaluation.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability.
• Direct staff to meet department responsibilities and standards.
• Ensure quality customer service and merchandise promotion.
• Perform general administrative duties and uphold company policies.
