Job summary

The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center in West Mifflin, PA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in day-to-day operations and supervise store staff. You will help maintain a pleasant, hospitable environment, ensure compliance with policies, and drive sales while meeting production and expense goals.

This role also supports work therapy and ensures proper display of merchandise.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in sales.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret simple income and expense reports.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with acceptable DMV record.
• Good verbal and written communication.
• Ability to motivate a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating a pleasant and hospitable work environment and maintain good customer relationships.
• Be well-versed in and ensure compliance to accounting, employee, and store policies.
• Assist the manager in meeting sales, production, and expense budget goals maintaining a profitable operation.
• Ensure that all production is taken from the back room and properly displayed on the sales floor.
• Receive applications and participate in interviewing applicants as needed.
• Assist in training, direction, and supervision of new personnel along with retraining for all personnel, as necessary.
• Assist, as required, in conducting regular evaluations of store personnel, identifying performance strengths and areas for development.
• Assist in scheduling of sales associates to ensure full coverage in store at all times.
• Assist in completion of payroll information biweekly for all store personnel noting signatures, absenteeism, overtime, etc.
• In the absence of the manager, responsible to order merchandise to ensure that the store is well stocked.
