Job summary

Dollar Tree in Texas is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, organize merchandise, and help lead staff to maintain a clean, safe, and inviting store environment.

The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, with prior store management experience preferred. This is a part-time, on-site position offering opportunities for growth and leadership

Qualifications

• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment and deliver customer service.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for storefronts.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping including payroll, scheduling, cash deposits and receipts, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Ensure store cleanliness and restocking of bathrooms, floors, and waste management.
• Other duties as assigned.
