Job summary

Rural King is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to partner with the Store Manager to drive daily retail operations, coaching and developing associates, and delivering an outstanding customer experience.

In this leadership role, you will oversee merchandising, inventory, scheduling, and safety, while aligning with Rural King's values and community commitments to provide a welcoming, efficient shopping environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail leadership/management experience.
• Ability to lead, coach, and develop teams.
• Experience with retail operations, merchandising, inventory management, scheduling, and customer service.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, POS systems, and inventory management systems.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays, and up to 50 hours per week.
• Must meet federal requirements for a Federal Firearms License (FFL) when applicable.

• Oversee daily store operations and inventory.
• Monitor performance and implement improvements.
• Ensure policies, safety and regulatory compliance.
• Support scheduling, labor planning, and loss prevention.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, coach, and develop associates.
