Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development at our Pittsburg, CA location. You will assist with daily functions, help customers, organize merchandise, and ensure displays and floors are well-maintained.

The role involves opening/closing procedures, payroll and scheduling tasks, and coaching store associates to provide a positive shopping experience. This position is part-time and on-site at the Pittsburg store.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; ability to read and interpret directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Strong customer service and organizational skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and loss prevention.
