Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Lakewood, CA to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will work with the Store Manager to drive sales and ensure a safe, friendly shopping environment.

The role focuses on daily store activities, staff coaching, inventory management, and adherence to company policies. Part-time schedule and on-site work are required, with opportunities to contribute to operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties as needed.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store activities and operations.
• Provide friendly customer service and address questions or concerns.
• Organize, stock, and transfer merchandise from delivery to floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Open and close the store as needed.
• Follow corporate directives and safety guidelines.
• Maintain store fixtures and displays.
• Assist in payroll, scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to store policies and procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise and develop associates.
• Foster a positive, safe environment for customers and staff.
• Ensure store cleanliness and upkeep of bathrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
