JAC Recruitment in San Francisco seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support daily operations, boost customer service, supervise staff, and handle routine tasks. In the absence of the Store Manager, you will oversee the entire store.

This role requires hands-on leadership, experience in retail or optician settings, and a focus on store layout, inventory data, and hygiene standards. Onsite position with day, night, and weekend shifts; hourly pay from $28 to $31, plus benefits.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of work experience as an optician in a retail setting or in an optometrist’s office.
• 1+ year of management experience.
• 1+ year of experience in retail store management (Preferred).
• Associate degree in opticianry or at least some postsecondary education (Preferred).
• Interest in customer service and retail.
• Basic computer skills.
• Valid license or certification as required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in overseeing all aspects of store operations.
• Train, supervise, and manage staff schedules.
• Handle customer service and complaints.
• Plan and execute store layout and product displays.
• Manage data related to sales, attendance, and inventory.
• Maintain hygiene and safety standards within the store.
• Perform other duties related to store operations.
