JAC Recruitment is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Santa Clara, CA to support daily store operations, elevate customer service, supervise staff, and oversee store tasks in the manager's absence. The role focuses on hands-on leadership, staff development, and ensuring smooth day-to-day performance.

Responsibilities include supervising schedules, handling customer service issues, planning displays, and maintaining inventory and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of work experience as an optician in a retail store or in optometrist’s office (Required)
• 1+ year of management experience (Required)
• 1+ year of experience in retail store management (Preferred)
• Interest in customer service and retail
• Skills in store operations, employee training and development, and human resource management
• Basic computer skills
• Valid license or certification as required by state law
• Associate degree in opticianry or at least some postsecondary education (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in overseeing all aspects of store operations
• Train, supervise, and manage staff schedules
• Handle customer service and complaints
• Plan and execute store layout and product displays
• Manage data related to sales, attendance, and inventory
• Maintain hygiene and safety standards within the store
• Perform other duties related to store operations
