Job summary

Family Dollar in Kershaw, SC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will support the Store Manager and supervise Associates to ensure store standards and safety compliance.

Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, merchandise organization, loss prevention, payroll and scheduling, and maintaining clean, well-stocked sales floors.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform daily store activities
• Experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred
• Ability to read and interpret operational directives

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions
• Organize, transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, handle damaged goods, payroll and scheduling
• Maintain stocked and clean store areas and stockroom
• Protect store assets including cash
• Adhere to safety and company policies
• Help Store Manager supervise and develop Store Associates
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment
• Ensure cleanliness of the store including bathrooms and floors
• Other duties as assigned
