Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in South Carolina to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily activities, help customers, and ensure smooth merchandising and safety practices.

Key duties include opening/closing, directing payroll/scheduling, and maintaining stockrooms and displays. This part-time role emphasizes a positive, energetic work environment and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical store tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Move merchandise from delivery to stockroom to floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain storefront displays and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering, handling damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits.
• Keep a well-stocked floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect company assets, including store cash, and follow safety policies.
• Help supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful store environment.
