Dollar Tree in Penitas, TX is seeking a Part-time Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. Responsibilities include assisting with daily activities, merchandising, opening/closing procedures, payroll and scheduling, and loss prevention.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives including Pull/Hold/Destroy and other communications.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll/scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain a stocked, clean, and organized sales floor and stockroom.
• Protect store assets including cash; ensure safety policies are followed.
• Help supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
