Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Denison, Texas is seeking a Part-time Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. Responsibilities include assisting with daily store activities, helping customers, organizing merchandise, and aiding in opening/closing procedures.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and prior store management experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store activities and functions.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor as needed.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process all corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise and record keeping.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and company policies.
• Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, and general upkeep.
• Other duties as assigned*.
