Job summary

Dollar Tree in Rehoboth Beach, DE is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to oversee daily store operations, support customer service, and help develop a high-performing team.

You will assist with merchandising, opening/closing procedures, scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention while maintaining a clean, welcoming environment for customers and staff.

This role requires strong communication, reliability, and the ability to work in a busy retail setting, with part-time hours.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication, interpersonal and written skills.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks.
• Excellent customer service, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and move merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional displays and store fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, handling damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits.
• Maintain clean, stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect store assets including cash.
• Enforce store policies and safety guidelines.
• Support Store Manager in training and development of Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment.
