Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Ventnor City, NJ is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee store operations, support customer service, and develop the store team.

You will assist with opening/closing, merchandise flow, payroll and scheduling, and ensure safety and policy compliance. This part-time role emphasizes hands-on leadership in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and handle frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, and pulling.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Aid in merchandise organization, transfer from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain store displays and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged items, record-keeping and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked, organized sales floor and stockroom.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Support Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing associates.
