Job summary

Brobston Group LLC in New York, NY is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for the Madison Avenue shop to support the General Manager in daily store operations and help achieve financial targets while upholding luxury service standards.

The role oversees merchandising, inventory replenishment, local marketing execution and staff management, acting as the shop lead in the Store Manager's absence. Experience in luxury ready-to-wear and tailoring is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in luxury ready-to-wear retail management.
• Experience with tailoring for men's and women's clothing.
• Proven ability to lead a retail team in the Store Manager's absence.
• Ability to interpret sales data and prepare performance reports.
• Working knowledge of retail management systems and Microsoft Office.
• Experience in training associates, recruitment and performance management; strong organizational and leadership skills; flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager and liaise with Corporate on budgets and weekly performance reporting.
• Drive sales and exceptional customer service to meet financial and KPI targets.
• Manage staffing activities including recruitment, induction, training, discipline, appraisals and payroll/timecard approvals.
• Ensure shop is merchandised to company standards and coordinate weekly display changes with Visual Merchandising.
• Maintain stock levels and place replenishment orders with Retail Operations and Buying Office.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies and communicate with Buying, Press and Retail teams.

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager and liaise with Corporate on financial budgets and weekly performance reporting.
• Drive sales and exceptional customer service to meet and exceed financial and KPI targets.
• Manage staffing activities including recruitment, induction, training, discipline, appraisals and payroll/timecard approvals.
• Ensure the shop is merchandised to company standards and coordinate weekly display changes with Visual Merchandising.
• Maintain appropriate stock levels and place replenishment orders in close liaison with Retail Operations and Buying Office.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies and maintain communication with Buying, Press and Retail teams.
