Qualifications

• 4+ years of retail management experience, luxury retail preferred.
• Proficiency with Excel and Word; ability to learn POS and payroll systems.
• Ability to interpret sales data and translate insights into business recommendations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs without assistance.
• Flexible availability to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

Summary

The Assistant Manager partners with the Floor Director to support all aspects of the Madison flagship Maison, driving sales, client development, and exceptional service in a fast-paced luxury retail environment. The role includes supervising the sales team, coaching staff, and stepping into senior leadership duties as needed to ensure store performance and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, train, and assist sales staff to achieve individual and store sales objectives.
• Maintain active management presence on the sales floor to model exceptional service and uphold brand standards.
• Identify sales opportunities through weekly business reviews by métier and track deliveries and special orders.
• Contribute to and conduct touch‑base meetings and annual performance evaluations with senior leadership.
• Communicate and enforce CRM standards and ensure associate compliance to maximize client capture and data quality.
• Manage scheduling, monitor E‑time, and keep accurate records of vacation, time, and attendance in coordination with HR.
• Organize seasonal trainings, share product updates, and ensure integration of key métier knowledge at point of sale.
• Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and maintaining a candidate database for store openings.
• Make critical client and operational decisions and run the business in the absence of senior leaders; responsible for meeting sales goals and inventory parameters.

Requirements

• 4+ years of retail management experience; luxury retail experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, Cegid, and E‑time; ability to learn POS and payroll systems and troubleshoot.
• Ability to interpret sales data and translate insights into business recommendations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
