Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service, and team development in Trenton, NJ. You will assist with day-to-day functions and ensure a welcoming, productive environment for customers and associates.

You’ll support opening/closing, merchandising, scheduling, and basic payroll tasks while upholding company policies, safety guidelines, and loss prevention measures. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
