Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. The role involves assisting with day-to-day store activities, merchandise handling, and opening/closing procedures.

The position requires strong communication and customer service skills, ability to lead a team, and adherence to safety and company policies. Part-time opportunity located in Trenton, NJ area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions/concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from truck to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain storefront fixtures, displays, and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, records (payroll, scheduling, cash deposits).
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Follow safety guidelines and store policies; supervise and develop Store Associates.
