Job summary

Family Dollar in Teaneck, NJ is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations and help develop the team. You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, organize merchandise, and contribute to loss prevention.

This part-time role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 55 lbs. You will work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment under the Store Manager.

Qualifications

• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns they may have.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Support training and development of Store Associates.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
