Family Dollar Stores Of New Jersey LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, deliver excellent customer service, and develop a team of associates. You will assist with daily tasks, merchandise flow, and safety compliance while uphold ing company standards.

The role requires strong communication and organizational skills, the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and a customer‑focused attitude in a fast‑paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties is required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Assist in organizing merchandise flow from delivery to stockroom and showroom.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional displays and store cleanliness to company standards.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Support Store Manager in training and development of Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
