Lids Sports Group in Schaumburg, IL is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead daily store operations, supervise a team, and ensure superior customer service. You will partner with the Store Manager to execute sales strategies, manage staffing, and uphold brand standards.

This role emphasizes training, scheduling, inventory control, and executing visual merchandising. The successful candidate will drive KPIs, maintain a safe environment, and contribute to a fun, inclusive store culture.

Qualifications

• Established ability to produce sales results while minimizing loss.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate verbally in a clear professional manner.
• Ability to work unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Act as Manager on duty for scheduling issues and customer complaints when Store Manager is not present.
• Manage store associates through LIDS Training Programs and goal setting, with regular follow up when Store Manager is not present.
• Administer the progressive steps of discipline to include verbal and written warnings in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Engage team members by creating a fun and productive environment, including helping them understand how their work supports company objectives and the success of the store and Lids overall.
• Recruit and train store personnel on proper store operations and procedures.
• Encourage store associates’ direct compliance with established company policies, procedures and guidelines including safekeeping of company inventory, funds and property.
• Lead selling strategy to achieve KPIs, sales targets, and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards, signage, and store cleanliness.
• Open and close the store following Operations procedures.
