Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Ohio LLC in Tipp City, OH is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. This part-time role offers hands-on responsibilities and opportunities to lead during daily shifts.

You will assist with opening and closing procedures, merchandise organization, and loss prevention, while ensuring a clean, welcoming environment for customers and a productive workspace for associates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Retail management experience in grocery, drug store, or similar environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as part of store duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns they may have.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor as needed and ensure seasonal areas are maintained.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record-keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash handling, and deposits).
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful store environment.
