Citi Trends is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, lead a team, and drive sales performance. You will collaborate closely with the Store Manager to ensure exceptional customer experience, maintain store standards, and participate in hiring, onboarding, and developing store associates.

The role emphasizes coaching, staffing, and process adherence to Citi Trends policies, with opportunities for growth in a service-oriented retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–4 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or similar retail leadership role.
• 3–5 years of overall retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and people leadership skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations, including percentages.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations to meet sales goals and customer experience standards.
• Monitor sales activity and guide associates to deliver excellent customer service.
• Assist with inventory control, inventory transactions, and shrink prevention.
• Ensure compliance with Citi Trends policies, procedures, and standards.
• Supervise and support store associates in sales, inventory, cash handling, and customer service.
• Assist Store Manager with hiring, interviewing, onboarding, and training support.
• Help maintain appropriate staffing levels by supporting recruiting and retention efforts.
• Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance support to associates.
