Citi Trends is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, lead a team, and assist with staffing efforts. You will work with the Store Manager to drive sales performance, maintain operational standards, and recruit, onboard, and develop store associates.

The role emphasizes coaching, customer experience, and adherence to company policies, with opportunities for growth within a fast-paced retail environment. This position requires flexibility for nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–4 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or similar retail leadership role.
• 3–5 years of overall retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations to meet sales goals and customer experience standards.
• Monitor sales activity and guide associates to deliver excellent customer service.
• Assist with inventory control, inventory transactions, and shrink prevention efforts.
• Ensure compliance with Citi Trends policies, procedures, and operational standards.
• Supervise and support store associates in sales, inventory, cash handling, and customer service.
• Assist the Store Manager with hiring, recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training support.
• Help maintain appropriate staffing levels by supporting recruiting and retention efforts.
• Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance support to associates.
