Job summary

Citi Trends is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations and lead a team to drive sales and exceptional customer service. You will partner with the Store Manager on staffing, onboarding, and development of store associates.

The role emphasizes operational excellence, recruiting support, and maintaining a safe, customer-focused environment in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
2–4 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or similar retail leadership role.
3–5 years of overall retail experience preferred.
Strong communication, organizational, and people leadership skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
Ability to perform basic math calculations, including percentages.
Customer-focused execution and operational accountability.
Adaptability in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

Store Operations & Performance: Support daily store operations to meet sales goals, customer experience standards, and operational expectations.
Monitor sales activity and guide associates to deliver excellent customer service.
Assist with inventory control, inventory transactions, and shrink prevention efforts.
Ensure compliance with Citi Trends policies, procedures, and standards.
Supervise and support store staff in sales, inventory, cash handling, and customer service.
Assist Store Manager with hiring, onboarding, and training support.
