Job summary

Citi Trends is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, lead a team, and assist with staffing. You will help drive sales, ensure excellent customer service, and uphold standards with integrity.

You will partner with the Store Manager to hire, onboard, and coach associates, manage scheduling, and execute merchandising and loss prevention initiatives in a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-4 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or similar retail leadership role.
• 3-5 years of overall retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and people leadership skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations, including percentages.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations to meet sales goals and customer experience standards.
• Monitor sales activity and guide associates to deliver excellent service.
• Assist with inventory control and shrink prevention efforts.
• Ensure compliance with Citi Trends policies, procedures, and operational standards.
• Supervise and support store associates in sales, inventory, cash handling, and customer service.
• Assist Store Manager with hiring, onboarding, and training support.
• Maintain appropriate staffing levels by supporting recruiting efforts and retention.
• Provide coaching and performance feedback to associates.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and customer-focused store environment.
• Reinforce merchandising, operational, and visual standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support store operations.
