Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. The role involves assisting with daily tasks, merchandising, and adherence to company policies to ensure a positive shopping experience.

The position offers part-time hours with a focus on customer service, inventory, and loss prevention duties, reporting to the Store Manager. A strong work ethic and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment (preferred).
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional displays and storefront fixtures.
