Job summary

Family Dollar in Cayce, SC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support day-to-day store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with merchandise organization, opening/closing duties, and adherence to company policies while leading a team.

This role requires strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving in a fast-paced retail environment. The position is part-time and located at 2442 Charleston Highway, Cayce, SC 29033-1736, with responsibilities including

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical duties including standing, walking, and climbing.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store operations and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and related communications for store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures, displays, and overall storefront cleanliness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and basic record keeping.
• Maintain organized stockroom and well-stocked sales floor following company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets including cash.
• Follow policies and safety guidelines and ensure staff compliance.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
