Follett Higher Education in Corpus Christi, TX, is seeking an Assistant Store Manager who will support a Market Leader in overseeing store operations and driving sales growth while delivering brand and operational excellence.

You will mentor team members, focus on customer service, manage cash handling, merchandising, and daily reporting, and ensure a hassle-free shopping experience for students and faculty. This role offers growth within Follett's campus store network.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or equivalent preferred.
• 0-5 years of retail or bookstore experience preferred. Prior supervisory experience preferred.
• General Computer Skills

Responsibilities

• Supervises the work activities of sales team members FT/PT and Temporary, including scheduling and training.
• Onboards new hires.
• Greet customers, answer phones, provide information, direct callers, and resolve escalated issues.
• Receive, verify, and unload orders as necessary.
• Operated cash register and store computer to accept payments, balance cash drawer and prepare deposits.
• Stock shelves and take inventory per Store schedule.
• May provide general store cleaning and straightening (shelves, displays, and register areas).
• Executes merchandising standards and promotions, creating displays.
• Keyholder with opening and closing responsibilities.
• Calculates deposits, counts cash drawers, and handles end-of-month reporting.
• Performs shrink prevention practices and other duties as assigned.
