Family Dollar in Tiptonville, Tennessee is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, manage merchandising and support the Store Manager.

The role requires strong communication and teamwork, lifting up to 55 lbs, and adherence to all policies. You will train associates, supervise opening and closing duties, and maintain a clean, safe store environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect store assets including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and supervise associates.
