Family Dollar in Tiptonville, Tennessee is seeking a part-time team member to support daily store operations, assist customers, and help move merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor, ensuring seasonal areas stay tidy.

Duties include opening and closing procedures, following directives, maintaining fixtures and loss prevention, and helping supervise and train associates while keeping the store clean, safe, and welcoming for customers.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives (e.g., merchandise schematics) is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.

Mansioni

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address any questions or concerns they may have.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of storefront fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record keeping (payroll, scheduling, deposits, receipts).
• Maintain store areas to company standards and protect assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and company policies; supervise/train Store Associates.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and respectful environment for customers, associates, and leaders.
• Clean and restock bathrooms; sweep and mop floors; take out trash; keep areas neat and presentable.
