Job summary

Boot Barn in Oregon is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join the store leadership team. You will partner with the Store Manager to deliver exceptional customer service, drive sales, and maintain merchandising standards on the floor.

Qualifications

• Experience managing direct reports and leading teams in a selling environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication, customer service, time management and organizational skills.
• Availability to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Up to 15% travel to support local stores, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead partners to foster a service & selling culture and exceed overall expectations to build long-standing customer relationships.
• Review goals with partners, providing coaching and feedback, and lead on the sales floor during peak hours.
• Implement and maintain an environment of continuous learning and assist with partner training plans to improve store performance.
• Collaborate with the Store Manager to adapt to changing business needs and procedures; adjust schedules, hire, train staff, and communicate with district and regional partners.
• Assess and communicate localized customers’ needs to Store Manager.
• Plan and execute volume driving events and community outreach.
• Lead and coach associates in building customer engagement through loyalty programs.
• Ensure merchandise stock levels, presentations, and store signage meet customer needs.
• Accountable for markdowns and timely product receipts.
• Partner on inventory shrink plans with the store team.
• Maintain product knowledge across categories and train partners accordingly.
• Complete opening and closing procedures in line with policy.
• Adhere to local, state laws and company policies.
