Carter’s in Charlotte, NC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager who will be the first face of the brand for growing families. You’ll greet customers, showcase our baby essentials, and lead the team to deliver outstanding service on the sales floor.

You’ll partner with the Store Manager to recruit, train, and develop staff, maintain merchandising standards, and analyze performance to drive results. This role requires leadership, flexibility, and a commitment to inclusive, customer‑focused service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of retail or related management experience.
• A high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds as needed and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Execute workforce management to ensure a genuine customer focus on the sales floor.
• Welcome customers with a warm greeting and provide assistance with product styles and benefits.
• Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for employees and customers.
• Assist the Store Manager in recruiting, training, and developing the store team.
• Plan, track, and report on tasks and financial results using company tools.
• Partner with Store Manager to maintain merchandising standards and promotions.
