Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development in Denton, TX. You will support daily tasks, supervise associates, and ensure safety and policy compliance.

Key responsibilities include assisting with merchandising, opening/closing, and maintaining a clean, well-stocked store. You will train staff and deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and meet demands of walking/standing.
• Strong communication and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service and organizational skills required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily store functions and activities.
• Help customers and address questions.
• Organize merchandise from delivery to floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain store displays and promotional fixtures.
• Assist in ordering, handling damaged goods, payroll, scheduling and cash deposits.
• Keep store areas neat and stockroom organized.
• Protect assets and cash; enforce policies.
• Assist Store Manager with training and development of associates.
• Provide a safe, respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of store, including bathrooms.
• Other duties as assigned.
