Job summary

Dollar Tree in Terrell, TX is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development.

You will assist with daily store activities, organize merchandise, supervise associates, and ensure a clean, safe shopping environment while protecting company assets and promotions. A fast-paced retail schedule requires strong communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and meet physical demands of the role.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling with accuracy.
• Maintain store fixtures, displays, and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and loss prevention.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect assets and enforce company policies and safety guidelines.
• Support Store Manager in supervising and developing Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
