Job summary

Dollar Tree seeks a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Denton, TX to support the Store Manager in leading a team and delivering a positive shopping experience. You will focus on merchandising and freight processing, ensuring store standards and policy compliance.

Role includes assisting with daily store operations, asset protection, and safety adherence, while maintaining clean, organized spaces and promoting teamwork in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform related physical duties.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards
• Process corporate directives such as Pull and Hold/Destroy and other communications
• Keep the store clean and presentable throughout the shift
• Ensure a positive, safe environment for customers, associates, and leaders
• Other duties as assigned
