Job summary

Dollar Tree in Belleville, NJ is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with merchandising, opening and closing procedures, and supervision of store associates to maintain a safe, clean, and inviting shopping environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; ability to read and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent standing, walking, and lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service and organizational skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.

• Assist in ordering merchandise and loss prevention.
