Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Meadville, PA to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. This part-time role involves organizing merchandise, opening/closing duties, and ensuring store standards and safety guidelines are followed.

You will help supervise Store Associates, maintain clean and organized spaces, and address customer questions while upholding company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays to maximize effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and payroll/scheduling tasks.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies including safety guidelines; supervise and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep the store clean and presentable, including bathrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
