Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. The role covers opening/closing duties, merchandise movement and loss prevention to keep the store running smoothly.

You will supervise and train store associates, maintain clean and organized spaces, and ensure a positive customer experience in a fast-paced retail environment. This is a part-time, on-site position in Mechanicsburg, PA.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Store management experience in retail or grocery is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record-keeping and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and train/store associates to do the same.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store.
