Job summary

Dollar Tree in Williamsport, PA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with opening and closing procedures and supervise store associates.

You will help organize merchandise, transfer stock from delivery, maintain the sales floor and stockroom, and ensure policies are followed while keeping a positive, safe environment for customers and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, bending, kneeling, and repetitive lifting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff compliance.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep the store clean and presentable, including bathrooms, floors, and trash disposal.
