Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Michigan to supervise daily store operations, support customer service, and develop the store team. You will ensure cleanliness, manage inventories, and assist with payroll and scheduling while maintaining a positive, safe work environment.

Responsibilities include opening/closing the store, implementing corporate directives, and protecting store assets.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, and bending.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Experience with payroll, scheduling, and cash handling preferred.

Mansioni

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits/receipts; support loss prevention.
• Maintain organized, well-stocked sales floor and stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff follow procedures.
• Assist Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Ensure cleanliness of store, restrooms, floors, and overall presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
