Caleres in New Orleans, LA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead the store in the Store Manager’s absence and drive a best-in-class customer experience for the whole family. You will motivate a team, manage daily operations, and support staffing, inventory, and pricing to achieve sales growth.

As a people leader, you will train and develop associates, foster an inclusive store culture, and model the Famous Footwear family values.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of sales experience (retail preferred).
• Experience interviewing, hiring and training people.
• Ability to lead, motivate and communicate with store associates at all levels.
• Ability to train and develop associates to deliver engaging customer experiences.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment with Store Sales Manager as needed.
• Strong cognitive skills including problem solving, decision making and basic financial analysis.
• Knowledge of general retail practices and procedures.
• Flexible schedule including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.
• Basic computer skills.
