Caleres, a leading footwear company, seeks an Assistant Store Manager in Gretna, NE to lead the team in the Store Manager’s absence and deliver exceptional customer experiences. You will motivate associates, drive sales targets, manage daily operations, and foster a connected store culture across Famous Footwear, Naturalizer, Sam Edelman, and Allen Edmonds.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of sales experience, retail preferred.
• Experience in interviewing, hiring and training people.
• Ability to lead, motivate and communicate with store associates.
• Flexible schedule including holidays, nights, weekends, extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Inspire the Customer Connection and coach selling behaviors.
• Champion talent discovery and assist in interviewing/hiring.
• Run store operations: pricing, shipping, inventory, and staffing aligned to targets.
• Leverage insights to drive location performance and sales growth.
• Be a culture builder, promoting diversity, inclusion, and positive morale.
• Serve as Store Manager’s right hand, ensuring policy compliance and talent development.
