Job summary

Caleres, Inc. operates Famous Footwear, a full-time Assistant Store Manager role focused on leading the store in the Store Manager's absence. You will develop a team, drive sales, and ensure excellent customer experiences across our family of brands.

You’ll coach Associates, manage daily operations, and stay current on trends to present compelling product displays and training. Strong leadership, teamwork, and customer focus are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of sales experience, retail preferred.
• Experience interviewing, hiring, and training staff.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and communicate with store associates.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and financial skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspire the Customer Connection by coaching selling behaviors and driving customer relationships.
• Collaborate with Store Manager to recruit, interview, and hire strong retail talent.
• Oversee daily retail operations including pricing, shipping, inventory, and store standards.
