Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Milwaukie, Oregon to support store operations, customer service, and team development. The role focuses on maintaining a well-organized store, assisting with merchandise placement, and ensuring a positive experience for customers.

You will help with opening/closing procedures, supervise and train associates, and adhere to company policies while maintaining a safe and respectful environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Previous store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Support in-order processing, record keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling activities.
• Maintain well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed by all associates.
• Assist Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing Store Associates.
